Coastal Scents and Ben Nye products!

Hoy vengo con una entrada que es muy poco usual en mi ya que no me gustan los 'hauls' pero bueno, hice una gran compra este mes (ya que el mes pasado trabajé) y quería compartirla ya que hay algunas cosas que son bastante económicas y como no, siempre 'cruelty free'

Today I bring something unusual here because I don't really like the so-called 'hauls' but this time I ordered quite a lot of products (since I worked last month) and I wanted to share it with you because some of the products are very affordable and of course cruelty free.

Empiezo por la compra que hice en Coastal Scents. La semana pasada habían rebajas en la web así que aproveché y compre varias cosas. 

I start off with the order I made in the Coastal Scents website. Last week there were sales so I took advantage of it and bought a few things.

Bien, empiezo con 'The Essential Dream Set'. La verdad es que no pensaba en comprar este set pero cuando lo vi me pareció que era una ganga (17,95 dólares) y consistía en una paleta de 12 sombras, una prebase para sombras, un líquido limpiador-desmaquillante, una máscara de pestañas y un set de brochas de viaje.

The first thing I bought is 'The Essential Dream Set'. I didn't have the intention to buy this set but when I saw it I thought it was a bargain (17,95 Dollars). It consists of a 12 eyeshadow palette, an eyeshadow primer, a cleanser liquid, a mascara and a travel brush set.

Ya veis en la foto lo que llevaba el set. Empiezo con la paleta que lleva sombras irisadas preciosas, aquí podéis verla abierta

As you can see it was a very good deal. I start with the palette. Its a 12 eyeshadow palette and the shadows are beautiful, I can't wait to use it

La prebase de sombras. Pensé que ib a a ser sin color pero es con destellos , color champán. Todavía no la he probado así que no puedo opinar

I thought the eyshadow primer was going to be a matta colourless one but instead it is a champagne colour primer. I wil tell you about it when I use it.

El líquido desmaquillante ya lo he utilizado y puedo decir que está genial. No es bifásico pero quitar el maquillaje como si lo fuera y además huele muy bien sin llegar a ser empalagoso.

I have already used the cleanser liquid and I can say its great. It removes makeup really well and just with one piece of cotton and it has a very nice smell without being too much.

Y por último este set de brochas de viaje. Al principio pensaba que serías brochas de mala calidad pero no, son de calidad óptima y están muy bien para un viajecito de última hora. Además el estuche es muy práctico y lleva un espejo dentro.

The last thing that came with this set was the travel brush set. I was a little bit skeptical about this but I was surprised when I saw the pencil since the aren't bad quality and they are very smooth. The case is also very nice with a mirror inside.

Lo siguiente que compré fue el set de cejas (8,95 dólares). Me decidí a comprarlo porque ya tenía el de Gosh pero lo encuentro demasiado marrón para mí y quería colores más cálidos puesto que tengo el pelo rojo y esta paleta ha sido un acierto. También puedo añadir que después de llevar estas sombras en mis cejas y pasarme una hora en la piscina las cejas seguía ahí, en su sitio y bien maquilladas. El set también venía con un pincel biselado para cejas.

The next thing that I got was the brow set (8,95 dollars). I decided to get this one because I already had the Gosh one but I find it quite ashy and brown for my brows and since I have red hair I wanted something warmer for my eyebrows and this palette is a very good option. I can say I was wearing this on my brows and I spent an hour in the pool and when I got out the eyebrows were still there filled in and there was no smudge or anything. This palette came also with an eyebrow pencil.

Llevaba tiempo queriendo comprar la paleta de 10 coloretes de Coastal Scents y también la compré (15.95 dólares), que siempre es lo que más escasea en el kit de un maquillador.

I wanted to get the 10 blush palette from Coastal Scents so I also got it (15,95 dollars). Great!

Y aprovechando el envío me hice con dos pinceles sintéticos (últimamente trabajo mucho mejor con estos y no creo que hoy en día sea imprescindible trabajar con pinceles de pelo natural ya que los sintéticos están muy avanzados y funcionan tanto con productos en crema como en polvo). Los que adquirí son el Blender Pointed Synthetic (2,95 dólares) y el Blender Crease Synthetic (2,45 dólares) y al lado podéis ver el biselado que venía con el set de cejas.

I also got two synthetic brushes (I like synthetic brush better at the moment since they are very advance and they work with both creamy and powdery products so there's no need for natural ones) I got the Blender Pointed Synthetic (2,95 dollars) and the Blender Crease Synthetic (2,45 dollars) and you can also see the eyebrow pencil here on the photo.

Ya los he usado y os digo que funcionan perfectamente con polvos y con cremas y son muy económicos (hay mas vida allá de Sigma)

I have already used these and they work perfectly. They are great for blending both powder and cream products. 

Y por último adquirís dos bolsas de muestras de las bases de maquillaje (cada una lleva 4 muestras individuales) una en Set Fair y la otra en Set Light.

And last but not least I got two foundations samples bags (each bag has 4 individual samples) one in Set Fair and one in Set Light. 

En total me salió todo por 36,47 dólares (porque había un descuento de un 10% creo) que con el envío fueron 60,63 dólares que son unos 47,8 €. Lo malo de pedir cosas a Estados unidos es el precio del envío pero bueno, creo que con todo lo que compré el precio total se quedaba bastante razonable.

The total without the shipping was 36.47 dollars (because there was a 10 % discount I think) and with the shipping was 60,63 dollars that are 47,8 €. Shipping is always the downside when we order to the US but I think the overall price was reasonable for the products that I got.

En otra web, concretamente en MakeupMania, me hice con la paleta Matte Foundation de Ben Nye, también para llevarla en el Kit. Una buena manera de tener varios tonos de maquillaje cubriente que van desde el más claro al más oscuro. Perfecta para hacer correcciones.

I also wanted to get a foundation palette so I went to the MakeupMania website and got the Matte Foundation Palette by Ben Nye which is great for a makeup kit. You can have almost every skin tone shade and it is also great for contouring and corrections.

Y también me he dado un caprichito y me he comprado el último album de Garbage que es la leche!!! Está genial, una vuelta a tope! Me encanta! Y a mi gato también le gusta :P!

And I gave myself a present and got the new Garbage album that is GREAT GREAT GREAT! the best coming back ever by them! Love it! My cat love it too as you can see :P!

Elijo a estas nominadas porque día a día me enseñan cosas (y no solo sobre maquillaje), me enseñan valores y me doy cuenta de que compartimos muchas ideas y aunque a veces me sienta un bicho raro, es agradable ver que hay más personas que se preocupan por las mismas cosas que yo. También quería compartir este video de makeupbynight donde dice muchas verdades como puños sobre Mac y Urban Decay y todo el tema de testar en animales. Lo siento por los que no sepáis inglés :(. Es muy interesante.

Sleek V2 look and some IMPORTANT NEWS

Hoy os presento este look que he hecho con la recién estrenada paleta de mates de Sleek, concretamente la V2. Para ella he utilizado tres sombras de esta paleta que son la thunder, la orbit y la ink y ahora aquí os dejo con las fotos.

Hi there! Today I bring this look that I have done with the new Sleek palette, the ultra mattes V2 palette. I have used mainly three eyeshadows from the palette that are thunder, orbit and ink, and now here you have the photos.

También quería hablar de Urban Decay. Esta marca siempre se ha caracterizado por ser vegana y no testada en animales, bien pues ahora esta empresa, al igual que Mac, ha decidido abrirse al mercado chino y para esto se han cargado totalmente ese status de 'Vegan and cruelty free' que ha sido siempre el principio de la empresa. De hecho en una de sus paletas el diseño recitaba algo así como 'WE DON'T DO ANIMAL TESTING...How could anyone?'. Pues ahora esta empresa se ha pasado sus principios por el forro (con perdón) y obviamente van a empezar a testar sus productos en animales ya que sugún la ley china es obligatorio que los productos de cosmética se testen en animales para ser vendidos en China (ridícula y absurda además de ATROZ). Por ello os dejo aquí el link por si queréis firmar la petición en contra de que UD haga esta practica. Podéis firmar AQUÍ aunque también he dejado el gadget en la columna de la derecha para el que se le pase o no lea esto. Muchas gracias de antemano a todo el que firme.

I also wanted to speak about Urban Decay. This brand is famous because of its standards of Vegan and Cruelty free but now,  together with Mac, they have decided to open to the Chinese market. This means that now their products are going to be tested on animals eventually since it is compulsory by law in China that cosmetic products are tested on animals (absurd, ridiculous and ATROCIOUS law). Urban Decay have released some palettes in the past that used to have a design saying 'WE DON'T DO ANIMAL TESTING...How could anyone?' and now they have sold themselves out with this practice so if you are against of this don't hesitate to sign this PETITION here. Thank you so much for your signatures.

Otra cosa que quería decir es que ví en el blog de subflava esta entrada que se trata de un evento que va a tener lugar en Madrid el día 17 de junio para promover la adopción de gatos y aprender sobre ellos así que si estáis por allí cerca y queréis asistir no lo dudéis. Estoy segura de que estará genial.

Y por último, puesto que ahora estamos con lo de la Eurocopa de polonia y Ucrania y aparece en todos lados quería decir y aclarar la información que por desgracia se oculta y que a las televisiones e informativos no les 'interesa' decir y es que Ucrania ha MASACRADO a 80.000 perros y gatos callejeros con el pretexto de 'limpiar las calles' durante los preparativos de la Eurocopa. Yo he visto fotos y videos sobre el tema y lo que intentan ocultar. Perros y gatos quemados vivos, envenenados o disparados hasta morir. Esto es lo que el gobierno Ucraniano ha hecho por un evento deportivo. Y bien, yo sé que las selecciones no tienen la culpa aunque no sé vosotros pero yo me niego a ver ni un solo segundo de esa Eurocopa, se me encoge el corazón cuando pienso en ello y por supuesto que me 'encabrona' mucho saber que ninguna selección ha dicho 'No, no jugamos esta eurocopa después de la MASACRE que se ha llevado a cabo'. Ha sido el mayor homicidio animal en Europa hasta la fecha y ni siquiera se ha visto una mísera noticia en los telediarios o periódicos. ¿Es este el respeto que la raza humana tiene hacia los animales? Me produce náuseas y no quería dejarlo pasar, QUIERO QUE ESTO SE SEPA y que no sólo lo sepamos los que día a día nos interesamos por estas cosas. :(

Lastly, now that we have the Eurocup everywhere I wanted to state and inform all of you about what the Ukraine government has done since it is so sad that televisions and papers hide information because they are not 'interested'. Ukraine have MASSACRED 80.000 stray dogs and cats under the pretext of 'Cleaning the streets' during the preparations for the Eurocup. I have seen videos and photos about it and what they want to conceal. Dogs and cats burnt alive, poisoned and shot dead. This is what the Ukraine government have done for a sport event. I know national teams are not guilty although I don't know about you but I refuse to see any second of this Eurocup, my heart shrinks every time I think about it and I am also very upset because no national team has said 'No, we don't play because of the MASSACRE that has been carried out'. This has been the biggest Animal Homicide in Europe to date and not even a miserable piece of news has been seen on the TV news or the papers. ¿Is this the way the human being respect animals? It just makes me sick and sad I didn't want this to let it go like nothing, like if it wasn't important and that's why I'm talking about this here, TO LET EVERYONE KNOW. :(

Trying TBN mineral eyeshadows and a weird look!

Hoy os voy a poner un look que en un principio tenía la intención de ser un look normalito probando las sombras minerales de The body needs... y acabó siendo esto.....

Today I'm posting this look that initially was meant to be a wereable and normal look trying The body needs mineral eyeshadows and it turned out to be this...

Pero como estaba en un humor 'juguetón' pues acabó siendo el que os he mostrado al principio...

Bien, ahora os hablo de las sombras minerales. The body needs en una página web donde podéis comprar tanto los productos de esa marca como muestras de productos de Mac, además de productos para prensar pigmentos o sombras propias para las que os interese el tema. Está relativamente bien de precio aunque si hacéis un pedido aprovechad y para comprar varias cosas porque los gastos de envío suelen ser altos. Las sombras minerales son una maravilla, yo las tenía desde el año pasado olvidadas en un cajón pero ahora que las he usado me han gustado mucho. Se difuminan muy bien y los colores son espectaculares así que si os gustan las sombras minerales y pigmentos os recomiendo que le echéis un ojo a la web.

Now I'm going to talk about the mineral eyeshadows. The body needs is an internet company where you can find their own products, Mac samples (genuine ones) and tools and kit for pressing pigments. The prices are quite good (most of them) though if you are from Europe and you want to order, make sure you order to take advantage of it and get more than just one product because the shipping price is quite high. These mineral eyeshadows are really good, I had them since last year but for some reason I forgot about them and now that I have used them I must say they are really good. They are easy to blend and beautiful range of colour and texture so if you like pigments and mineral eyeshadows you can check out their website.
