Halloween Series: The Ring- Samara

Hola a todos de nuevo! Hoy os dejo con mi último look de Halloween y esta vez se trata de Samara de la película The Ring. Este look es muy fácil de hacer. Solo necesitáis algunas face paints, látex líquido y si no tenéis el pelo negro y largo pues una peluca. Por supuesto que lo de tener lentillas ayuda muchísimo. Bueno pues la técnica es muy sencilla. Se aplica una fina capa de látex con la cara estirada y cuando está seco se suelta la cara y así se queda el aspecto de piel vieja. Después tapamos las cejas, ya sea con pegamento en barra o con cera. Yo en este caso usé cera. Aplicamos una facepaint blanca por toda la cara y luego marcamos arrugas y suciedad con otros colores. Este paso se puede hacer tanto con facepaints como con sombra de ojos. Recordad que alrededor del ojo hay que delinear en rojo para hacerlo más impactante y por supuesto las arrugas del entrecejo y de la boca son las más importantes. Por último nos ponemos la peluca y le echamos gomina o espuma para hacer que parezca húmedo el pelo. Y ya está!. Como veis es muy fácil y rápido. Hello there! This is my last Halloween look! Samara from The Ring. This is a sooo easy and simple look and it can look great and scary. you just need face paints, liquid latex, a wig (if needed) and the contact lenses are optional but they help a lot. First, we apply the latex with a stretched face, we wait for it to dry a few seconds and then we stop stretching the skin. This will give us like an old skin look. Then we cover the eyebrows either with glue stick or wax. I did it with wax here. After this we are ready to  apply a white facepaint all over the face and then we can make it look scarier adding a mix of various colours such as greens, blues, blacks and purples. For this step you can use either facepaints or eyeshadows but remember it is important to accentuate the red line around the eyes and the wrinkles around mouth and eyebrows since it is the most important feature of the look. Lastly, we put the wig on and try to make it wet with hair wax. And that's it! I hope you like as it is sooo simple and the result is really good! I will be doing more weareable looks for the next while :)! Happy Halloween!

New KIKO Products/ Productos nuevos de Kiko

Hola a todos! Hoy os traigo dos productos de la nueva colección de Kiko 'Colour Pigments'. Como véis en la foto se trata de dos productos:

Hello there! Today I just wanted to talk a little about the new products by Kiko. Kiko is an Italian brand that is available online here and also retail stores if you live either Spain or Italy. It is a cheap-ish brand and u get good quality for the price. A couple of days ago I went to the shop and found this products from the new collection called Colour Pigments:

El Mixing Solution se utiliza para aplicar el pigmento y así obtener un mejor resultado además de que el pigmento se difumina mejor. Pero lo bueno de esto es que vale tan solo 3,90! Yo creo que es un precio muy bueno y obtienes bastante producto! Obviamente el precio es tan barato porque en la presentación del producto no se han molestado mucho.... pero bueno, q a mi me vale! En cuanto al pigmento, los hay en 18 colores distintos en la web aunque en la tiendo no estaban todos y más que un pigmento a mi me recuerda a las sombras de L'oreal Infallible porque tienen una textura bastante cremosa y no tan en polvo. En fin, aquí tenéis una foto de el pigmento con el Mixing Solution y sin él

As you can see is a pigment loose eyeshadow and a Mixing solution to apply it (you can also use it with any other pigment). Well the good thing about this mixing solution is that it was just 3,90 €! I thought it was a bargain so I had to buy it and give it a go!. The pigments are in 18 different colours and I have to say that they are very creamy and the texture reminds me more of to the l'oreal Infallible eyeshadows than to real pigments. The mixing solution is meant to be used with these pigments so you can get a foiled result plus a better blending. Here is the pigment with the mixing solution and without it

Yo pienso que queda bastante mejor con el mixing solution y por lo que vale merece la pena además de que obtienes bastante producto y lo podemos usar con cualquier otro pigmento, no solo con los de Kiko. I think it looks a lot better with the mixing solution and for the price is totally worth it as you can use it with any other brand pigments. Halloween Series: Scary Clown (Ana Arthur)

Hola hola gente! Hoy os enseño un look que hice ya hace unos meses. La idea del look no es mía. Se trata de una recreación de uno de los looks de Ana Arthur que si todavía no la conocéis os dejo aquí el link a su canal de youtube. A mí me encanta. Es muy creativa y me ayuda a inspirarme. Siempre disfruto mucho viendo sus videos!

Hey readers!!! I'm showing you today an old look I did few months ago. The idea is not mine, it's from the lovely Ana Arthur. If you haven't seen her you can watch her videos on youtube right here. I enjoy so much when I see her videos, she is so creative and inspiring so check her channel out if you haven't. 

Os cuento, por aquel entonces no disponía de ninguna calota así que compré un gorro de natación muy barato. Me lo puse al revés ya que la textura de dentro es mejor para pintar encima. Luego hice dos agujeros en los lados para poder sacar algo de mi pelo. Los dientes los hice con uñas postizas, las corté, las limé y las pinté con acrílicos para que parecieran mas asquerosos y sucios y los pegué con pegamento de pestañas. El resto era pintura para la cara que sellé con sombras de colores de la paleta de 120 colores para que duraran más tiempo.



I changed things a little bit though. I didn't use a bald cap since I didn't have one back then so I took one of these cheap swimming caps and put it inside-out so the texture was better to paint on top. Then I did a couple of holes on the sides to get some of my hair out. I made the teeth out of false nails. I cut them and painted them a little to make them look creepier and dirty and I applied them with eyelash glue. The rest was face paint that I set with eyeshadows from the 120 palette to make it last longer. 

Llevé este look bastantes horas y se mantuvo intacto. ni los dientes se cayeron ni la pintura se emborronó así que os puedo asegurar que sin duda es una de las mejores opciones si vais a una fiesta de Halloween porque el look 'aguanta'. Lo único es que a lo mejor os resulta un poco difícil beber con los dientes pero se puede hacer perfectamente que yo lo he hecho, jajaja. bueno espero que os haya gustado y si hacéis alguno de estos looks me gustaría verlo también, asi que nada, nos vemos pronto! I did wear these look for a few hours and it stayed perfectly in place all the time. The teeth didn't fall out so I can tell you that this is definitely one of the best looks that you can wear for a halloween party. Maybe it can be a little tricky to drink with the teeth but I've done it, lol. I hope you like it and it can be useful for you or just make it for fun! And if you try it let me know! Wolfe 'Mr. Hyde' Look

Hola a todos! Esta va a ser una entrada muy cortita solo para hablar del libro Extreme Face Painting de los hermanos Wolfe y enseñaos uno de los looks que hice del libro. El libro lo compré en amazon hace unos meses y me encantó. Es muy útil tanto si no tenéis experiencia en el facepainting como si sí la tenéis ya que tiene muy buenas ideas y te explica técnicas y paso a paso en cada look. Tengo que decir también que la parte que más me gusta del libro es la segunda que es donde aparecen los looks más de halloween y de monstruos. El libro también viene con un dvd en el que hacen el look the la calavera de la portada.

Hi everyone! This is going to be a quick entry just to tell you about the Wolfe 'Extreme Face Painting' book made by the great Wolfe brothers and to show you one of the recreations I've done from this book. Well, I got the book from amazon a few months ago and I have to say that I love it! It's really good either if you don't have practice with face painting or you do have. I must admit I'm more interested in the second half of the book called the 'fiendish faces' where all the creepy looks are but still the book is really good and it explains techniques and step by step to achieve the looks. The book also comes with a DVD about the green skull on the cover of the book.

Uno de los looks que hice es el de Mr. Hyde y también podéis ver una foto sacada del libro. Cuando recibí el libro no tenía todavía mi paleta de aquacolor así que lo hice con la de supracolor lo que resultó más difícil pero bueno, quede muy contenta con el resultado y también lo podéis usar para Halloweeen! I tried the Mr. Hyde look and you can also see the original picture taken from the book. I have to say at the moment I got the book I didn't have my aquacolor palette yet so I made it with supracolors which makes it more difficult but anyway, I was very happy with the result and you can use it for Halloween too! Hoy traigo uno de los últimos looks que voy a hacer de Halloween y aunque este no es de miedo pues espero que os sirva igualmente.   Es un maquillaje de china que una amiga me pidió y yo con mucho gusto lo hice. El vestido y demás complementos los puso ella. Yo investigué un poquito por Internet más la idea que ya tenía en la cabeza y esto fue el resultado...

Hello people! I have one of the last Halloween looks I'm going to do this year and this time is about Chinese makeup! Yes, a friend of mine asked me to do a Chinese look on her and she brought the dress! I did a little bit of reasearch on the Internet and this is what I came up with....

Como podéis imaginar, usé una base de maquillaje muy pálida pero que también mezclé con un poco de supracolor blanco de kryolan para hacerla más blanca todavía. A continuación usé un color rojo de la paleta de 120 y encima en los párpados utilicé el dazzle dust amarillo de Barry M. Después hice el delineado bastante exagerado dándole la forma china y bastante rasgada tanto en el lagrimal como en el exterior del ojo y para ello utilicé el gel eyeliner fluidline de Mac. También contorneé bastante con polvos bronceadores y por último utilicé sleek pout paint en pin up en los lábios dándoles la forma característica. El resto lo puso ella! vestido, adorno en la cabeza...Espero que os guste ya que es uno de los últimos que voy a subir sobre Halloween y que os sirva de idea si tenéis por ahí algún vestido que podáis aprovechar como disfraz. As u can guess, I used a very pale foundation that had already mixed with a little bit of white supracolor so I could make her skin look that pale. Then, I used the 120 palette for the red on the lids and face and topped that with a yellow dazzle dust from Barry M. Then applied a gel eyeliner (Mac fluidline blacktrack). I used sleek Pout paint in pin up for the lips and I drew them with the typical chinese shape. I contoured her face with a strong bronzer also and the rest was hers! The dress, the umbrella... I hope you really like it and enjoyed since it is one of my lasts Halloween make up looks I'm going to be uploading here. See you soon!

Hola de nuevo! Hoy os traigo una prueba que hice hace unos meses cuando estaba practicando el face painting y el maquillaje de efectos especiales. En un mismo look mezclé las dos técnicas y por supuesto probé en mi madre (jejeje) pobrecilla pero en fin, esto es lo que salió...

Hi there! Today I'm posting a look that I tried a few months ago when I was practising face painting and special effects make up and I decided to combined them both in a look. This is what I came up with and the model was my mum... (hahaha) poor her! But anyway, here is the look...

Los dientes los hice por separado con uñas postizas y látex líquido. Después los apliqué sobre los labios y alrededor puse cera. El resto de la cara está hecha con aquacolor de kryolan y las heridas de la frente con látex. Espero que os haya gustado y otro look de Halloween!
I did the teeth separately with fake nails and látex and then, I applied them over her lips and cover the edges with wax. The rest of the face I painted it with kryolan aquacolors and the wounds on her forehead are also made with liquid latex. I hope you liked it this new idea for Halloween!

L'oreal Contest winner!!

Hola a todos!!! Hoy estoy muy contenta porque me comunicaron el otro día que era una de las ganadoras del concurso de 'L'oreal Cibeles crea tendencia' de la web de loreal y hoy mismo he recibido el premio en casita así q aquí os lo enseño! Esto es lo que incluía el premio:

Bien, pues la sombra infalible todavía no la he probado pero me gusta la textura. Es así como medio polvo medio crema, según dice el anuncio aguanta 24 horas así que ya veremos... La verdad es que las quería probar desde hacía tiempo pero eran un poco caras así que ahora tendré la oportunidad.
I haven't tried the eyeshadow yet but the ad says it last 24 hours so we will see...I like the texture though since it is a mix between powder and cream. I wanted to try these but every time I had the chance to buy I thought they were quite expensive and I never did, so now I'm glad I can try them.

Halloween Series: Predator

Hola a todos! Como ya dije sigo con los looks para Halloween y esta vez se trata de Depredador, intenté hacer un 'face painting' con los aquacolor de Kryolan y esto fue lo que salió. No quedé muy contenta con el resultado, lo podía haber hecho bastante mejor con los dientes más grandes y la boca un poco más pequeña pero bueno, tampoco está del todo mal, no? que pensáis?? Adiole!

Hi everyone! Like I said I continue uploading Halloween looks and this time its about Predator. I tried to do it with face paints so I used Kryolan Aquacolors and this is what I came up with. I wasn't very happy with the result cos i reckon I could have done it better if the teeth were bigger and the mouth smaller since my face is quite small but anyway, it's not that bad, is it? Halloween series: Kryolan Skull

Hola de nuevo!!! Hoy os traigo un look que vi hace tiempo en la web de Kryolan, hice un re-make, y así es como me quedó. El look original estaba hecho con aquacolors pero cuando yo lo hice aun no tenía mi paleta aquacolor así que lo realicé con la de supracolor (lo q no es nada fácil). Bueno espero que os guste y otra idea más para Halloween. Ah!! Voy a seguir subiendo looks para halloween estos días porque tengo muchos! Adiole!

Hi again! Today Im posting a look that i saw a long time ago on the Kryolan official website. I decided to do it and this is the result. The original look was actually made with the aquacolors but when I made it I didn't have my aquacolor palette so I had to use the supracolor one (it was quite triky since the skull has a lot of detail). I want to let you know that I'm going to be posting more Halloween looks these days because I have lots of them. I hope u enjoy with this and here u have another idea for Halloween! See you soon!

Bueno, pues lo he estado usando encima de sombras oscuras y queda muy bonito. Lo he probado con sombras lilas de base y con sombras negras y es precioso. Pienso que a la que no se atreva mucho con las purpurinas este producto es perfecto ya que es brillante pero no llegar a ser tan 'exagerado' como puede serlo a veces la purpurina, sobre todo si no se emplean bien. Así que eso, quería compartir la experiencia del producto con vosotras y por si os queréis animar. Adiole!

Well, I've been using it with black and purple eyeshadows as a base and it looks gorgeous! I think it is a perfect product for girls that don't like glitter too much or don't know how to apply it since this product is very shinny and it is not glitter. It feels very smooth just like a pigment and it blends perfectly. So I just wanted to share with you my experience with this product that I love and show you some pictures. Hope you like it! Halloween series: Skull

Hola de nuevo!!! Ya estoy aquí con lo que toca, es decir, otro look para Halloween y esta vez se trata de una calavera que hice con la paleta Aquacolor de Kryolan. Fue bastante sencillo, basta con tener una calavera cerca e ir fijándose. Espero que os guste. Adiole!
